Misty Ridge ranch is home to over 300 Huacaya and Suri alpacas located in Skagit Valley near Mount Vernon, Washington.

John is a real estate developer and entrepreneur. John brings to the ranch much knowledge in marketing and business experience. Shannon an entrepreneur herself oversees the management of the farm including sales and the photographing of the alpacas, which she spends hours out in the pastures connecting with her alpacas and capturing that perfect shot.

The Ellis's thoroughly love living in the country with there lovely alpacas. John and Shannon believe this is a wonderful lifestyle because they have a home business with a great return that enables them more quality time with their two sons Cameron age 10 and Kaleb age 8.

Misty Ridge's business policy is to sell fine alpacas and do all that they can to help their customers find and enjoy the same rewarding lifestyle the Ellis family lives each day.

Misty Ridge breeds their alpacas for good conformation, quality fiber and gentle temperaments. They have taken great care in setting up there ranch where you can look at the females and the herd sires in a comfortable relaxed environment with no pressure and plenty of time for questions and answers.

With over 300 alpacas of all ages, sex, and color Misty Ridge has something for every farm from that one special alpaca to many different package deals from two to twenty.

Misty Ridge is pleased with their line up of exceptional herd sires and breeding program. They purchase and promote only the best males because they believe this is the way to assuring the high quality cria they aspire to produce, resulting in the best return for there investment.

In 2005 they added Accoyo America Talisman with his striking bright fine fleece at 16 microns and 10 crimps per inch. Giving them a second highly sought after white genetic line to go with their foundation white sire (Grandpa). Peruvian Andrajo who was born at the Alianza ranch in Peru.

In 2006 they added a full Peruvian brown male, Jedi. Who adds a very high quality strong brown genetic line to their line-up. Also 2005 John and Shannon wanted to add another gray maker to go along with "The Rebel", "Emerald Farms Calypso Cloud" and "Altair's Sterling". What better than adding full Accoyo on top of the proven color gene.

Accoyo McGwire joined the ranks of stud row in the fall of 2006. Many of their herd sires and their cria have won blue and championship ribbons, which provides great evidence of the exceptional crosses of their Peruvian stock to their domestic colors alpacas.
